Topic: Grey wire for Cluster/console lites
in Forum: C3 Electrical

If i could find that junction i think I could narrow down the search.. hate to tear that whole console out again. The did work for a little while
OK.. figured out the Dk. Green is the feed from the light switch to the other side of the fuse...

What year are we dealing with, if you did not have to much removed it will most likely be what you had removed their must be a pinched wire. you might try to turning the light rheostat down all the way be in the car at night and slowly turn the rheostat up, you may be able to see some lights light before the fuse blows, a light that does not work would be the circuit to ck

I will give that a try... I'm sure it's a pinched wire or possibly the light switch itself.. I did notice last couple times before replacing heater core, the rheostst on it was sporadic at best but the light s did come on at wide open. Maybe it finally crapped out but could that possibly cause the blown fuse?

I'd be leaning toward something in the gauge cluster that got pinched, or one of the bulb sockets has broken, and is shorting out....
Also, there is a courtesy light over on the pass side that might have gotten pinched that could cause it....
