Hi, I installed a Custom AutoSound radio in my 75.  I can't seem to find where I can hook-up the ground from the radio.  Does anyone have any ideas?  Thanks!

You should be able to run the ground wire from the radio to the metal "U" shaped brace that runs under the radio at the front. This brace also helps hold the center console in that area.
You could also run a wire all the way back to the battery if you wanted to...but that's a pain.

Thanks for reminding that I don't want to mess with my radio.

The black on the original radio connector on the harness is a system ground.  Yellow is power and the gray is illumination.

The PO put in an aftermarket radio and didn't hook up a ground. The bracket behind the radio did not ground back to the battery. My gages did not work correctly until I ran a new wire that I connected to the black wire in the old plug and connected it to the gage cluster and the new radio. Redwingvette2008-03-11 13:41:27
