Vette(s): 1981 dark metallic blue, dark doeskin leather interior, mirrored glass T Tops, 330hp/350ci GMPP crate engine, billeted aluminum serpentine system, Dewitts with dual spalls
Has anyone changed these out?

The headlights work fine, but when you pop the hood, someone before me has one painted gold and the other is black.  Just looks bad when you open the hood.  Killin me ta look at it!

Thanks, gurtzWink

Yah ,I've changed mine, they are a P.I.T.A.,once ya get them loose, the best way I have found to get them out is to drop them down through the bottom valance panel,ya will scratch the hood if you try to pull them out through the top with the hood open, with the hood off there is no problem,if its just the colors that bug ya,and they work ,leave em therefigure out a way to paint them in the car Ermm

here is another thought for you. i understand how with your car looking as it does how it can bug you. have you ever thought of getting the chrome covers that they have for them. they are double sided taped on and cover the half of actuator you see. anyone that wants to break their neck to see the other side has my sympathyRolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing.
