Since my 78 L-48 has little collector value with both the engine and tranny having been replaced at some point, I am going to do something of a resto-mod.  It's going to look stock, but I plan on updating all the parts that originally were, how should I put it, under-engineered?

With that in mind, has anyone update their headlights?  My originals are slightly brighter than a pair of candles, I'd like to know what contemporary options are out there.

Oh, I've got plans...!

I think Brian(redwingvette) converted his '73 to electric headlights, using Fireturd motors and stuff.....

If you don't want to do too much, I replaced my stock headlights with the halogen high and low beam units. They are plenty bright and no real work. I did the HID conversion on my Mustang (now THOSE headlights stink!) and they work very well. The problem is that there is a lot of wire and components to hide, and not much room. Just my .02!
