Hey gang.
I'm trying to get my windshield wiper door working and I need a Wiper Door Limit Switch. I've checked Eckler's, Mid America, Corvette America, and Bairs, with no luck. They're either out of stock or the switch has been discontinued.
Anyone know where I can get one??

have you checked Doc Rebuild??
http://www.docrebuild.com/ He has good stuff but is a cranky old fart.

Alright gang, here's another question:
The vette is at a Chevrolet dealer right now, and they've called and said they need someting called an "interlock valve" to finish my wiper door repairs. (They said Chevrolet no longer makes that part and it will have to come from an after-market place.)
On Google the only reference to this part is in the "Corvette 1966-82 Shop Manual" under the electrical heading. It states that the part is view F.
I've gone to Mid America, Corvette America, Eckler's, Doc Rebuild, Zip, Bair's, Ebay, Ric's, and have searched many data bases and have come up with nothing at all. It's as if this part doesn't exist.
I've called the Chevy back and asked them to try and get a part number for me.
Anyone have any idea of what this is, and where I can get one??

Could they be talking about the "limit" switch, that keeps the door from closing until the wipers are all the way down?
Lectric Limited has them...
SWD2010 WINDSHIELD WIPER DOOR LIMIT SWITCH, -O.E.M. made in U.S.A. using original GM tooling-, all (includes rubber boot on switch button and weather proofed as original) Note: Requires use of VWH6972 which gets soldered onto switch and connects to the Engine Harness. $24.00Adams' Apple 2007-08-22 10:31:44

I don't think so because I've already purchased this, and they have inhstalled it. I think they got the name (interlock valve) from the same manual I've listed above.
They replaced the limit switch and the wiper door actuator, and then called and said I needed an interlock valve. If I just knew which part they meant, and what it did, then maybe I would have an idea of what I need to get. I guess I'll head to the shop tomorrow and have them point it out to me.

I figured it out...
The interlock switch is a cylindrical Black plastic vacuum switch with a spring loaded push button. There are 2 small vacuum ports. The port closest to the push button is not marked, as it connects to a Black vacuum hose. The middle port is identified by a Red paint dot and the remaining port is identified by a White paint dot.
The interlock switch mounts below the wiper grill, next to the RH wiper arm with 2 hex washer head screws and u-nut.
The interlock switch prevents the wiper door from closing until the RH wiper arm is in the parked position, by controlling the vacuum signal to the wiper relay valve.
