I know that this subject has been posted before, but I can't solve the problem with the conventional wizdom.

I have removed all the horn componants from the steering column and the horn still shorts when I connect the battery, which drains the battery as well as making the horn stay on (if I connect the horns). I pulled the Horn Relay switch and replaced it. I just can't figure out where else to look.

Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Glenn

I hqad this problem for years and was killing myself trying to fix it. Then one day it occurred to me that maybe the connecton to the horn was not good. I took the plastic piece apart carefully with a small srewdriver you can remove the plastic connector from the copper contact. I cleaned with steel wool and bent it sonthat it would grab tighter. I had already removed the horn and made sure that there was a good ground by again using the steel wool.

All those years and what I described above solved the problem in about 20 minutes!

Good Luck and let me know if it works for you. It could also be the horn relay.
