Im putting my car back together and when I went to plug the wiper motor in the connection had juice???? Does the connection come from the starter solenoid?

What did I wire wrong???

Interesting! The same thing happened to me (68 big block too) I didn't even notice it until the motor got really hot.

The wiper motor should have voltage all the time(when the key is on). The switch inside gives the motor a ground, and then the motor runs. If your motor runs as soon as you plug it in, the switch is on, or possibly the saftey switch on your wiper door is mis-adjusted/bad.
I don't have any diagrams for your year, but maybe someone else here does.

My wiper door switch is adjusted, could be bad, I haven't put a meter on it. Shouldn't it be a switched hot?

I may have what you need, it's a 68 wiring diagram I have it saved in my documents in Adobe Reader. I just don't know how to post it  Any suggestions ?

Warbird, just upload the document to your "Personal Home Page", and then post a link to that. If you want, you can e-mail the document to me, and I'll post it.

Thanks Joel,

I'm better off sending it to you, I don't have much luck with this.

I've got the wiring diagrams. Just got sidetracked and the car is on hold for the time being. Just bought a 28 foot boat, tweaking it for fun this summer, dropped a grand on a new computer, and the house needs a new roof!
