Vette(s): 77 coupe, yellow, auto, L series, A/C, T top, Grey leather interior. It is about 75% & matching #'s. The miles are 117K & intend on restoring bit by bit to enjoy Cruises & rallies in Florida , & maybe some shows ?
I had to take the entire dash out for repairs & repaint on my 77 coupe . When I got the left side out, (speed & tach) I tried to remove the light switch & the knob doesn't want to thread off so I can duck it out the back side. I think the shaft has to come out somehow from the switch. But it has been a LONG,LONG time since I took one out. So, can anyone guide me through the process, or do I get out the HACKSAW....LOL Thanks 4 any help u can give me !!!!

Look on the side of the headlight switch...you'll see a small pin sticking out. Pull the headlight knob out(lights on), push in on the small pin, and then push the knob back in slightly, then pull out.

Good luck, it does come out but you may have to fiddle with it.
I know if someone had not told me you may have to fiddle with it I would have gotten out the hacksaw.
