Does anyone know the correct number of the Bulb for the 1980 Instrument Panel Bulbs(TACH/Speedo) Changed them all and started Blowing the Fuse. I put the 194 Bulb in everthing. Should have asked this before I Pulled the Cluster.

Thanks

My '78 uses #194 bulbs in the speedo/tach cluster...I don't believe yours is any different. The center console cluster uses #192 bulbs, but the only difference is candlepower.

The only thing I can think of is you may have accidently broken part of the printed circuit on the back of the cluster when replacing bulbs and created a short. The original printed circuit is known to be a bit on the fragile side, even more so after all these years. New ones are avilable, though a bit pricey.

Thanks Gunslinger, I'm guess I'll just have to take it apart again.

When you take it apart, check the mounting screws. You don't want one of them touching any of the foil runs on the circuit board. I would suspect you have a short to ground somewhere.

I gotta agree with Owen. I have a mantra with cars...

"It's always something stupid, if it isn't, it's a thousand bucks."

Just take it apart, put it back together carefully, and she'll probably be O.K. |saluteflag|
