Hello all,
When i start my car the ignition wants to stay in start position. it is slow to come back to norm position. sometimes I have to turn it back by hand once the car has started. Can I spray some WD40 in the key ignition?

You could do that but I doubt that it will fix the problem as you state it. Let me see if I can find out some more info. I will get back to you. In the mean time maybe Joel has an answer!!!

I had the same problem
and WD fixed it right up. WD40 is non conductive so it wont hurt anything but don't get carried away because the excess will run down the steering column and drip on the carpet and this won't come out. Good luck.

Yeah...it really depends on what is causin the sticky problem....it could be the key cylinder itself, or is could be a problem in the rack/pinion for the ignition switch linkage of the tilt wheel, or it could be the ignition switch itself(not as likely as the others, but it is possible). You can certainly spray some WD40 into the key cylinder, and see if that makes any difference. If it doesn't, then you may need to get a little deeper into the column to find the culprit.

Ya, what Joey says is true!! I checked with my corvette mechanic and he says the same thing. The Ignition switch (where you put the key in) is connected to the Switch which is located at the bottom of the steering column. You could have a simple mechanical problem solved with the addition of the WD40 or it couold be more severe.
