It is a '73 with several lighting issues. First when I turn on my headlights the dim lights seem to work fine, but when I switch to the bright lights all the head lights go out. Also, my front parking lights and front blinker lights do not work. My tail lights work as advertised, so I think my problem is in the front wiring harness somewhere. One other question is my rear signal blinks when have it turning one direction but not the other. I replaced the flasher to no avail. I would appreciate any suggestions.

High beam is easy, there is a wire from the floor switch to the four bright filiments, seperate from the wire to the two low beam filiments. It must be broken or loose at the switch. It could also be the switch itself.
Rear gurn signal is probably easy, too. Do the brake lights work on both sides? The turn signal and brake light are a different filiment in the bulb than the tail light. It could be that you just need a new bulb. If the brake light doesn't work on that side, it is probably a loose or broken wire.
As far as the other problems, you'll have to trace out the wires looking for a problem. BTW, except for the headlights, all the wires involved go to the steering column, make sure the curved plug is in tight, and the wires aren't pinched under the column mounting bracket. Joe

Both brake lights work as advertised, and when I turn the blinker on both lights light up. My problem is one side blinks and the other side does not. I replaced the bright/dim switch, but I will check the wiring. Thanks.
