Hey guys...

I have a 77 L48 as you all know. I was looking into power door locks. But I can't seem to find a conversion kit worthy of installation. DOes anyone know of a kit? Do you locks run off a cable system?

Thanks guys,
-Louis

Can't help you there my vette is to old. I don't think they were even a option in 75, could be wrong. Have you tried some of the hot-rod sites?

No pwr door locks until '78. I never understood the need for pwr locks on a car in which you could reach the doors without moving! You could get a factory system from a doner 'Vette, or check with some of the Street-Rod vendors.

Hey Louis, I was thinking about the same thing I found this site that I think im going to use.

http://www.a1electric.com/alarm.htm

I am planning on removing the lock cylinders from the door all together and just haveing the keyless entry.  Also, the way I understand it by unlocking the driverside door with the knob it unlocks the pass. side also.  If I remember right, you were taking your door panels off anyways so you should be able to install it then without ripping too much apart

Hey Matt,

Actually Atuo Loc makes a kit that you don't have to cut into the door! The model number is:

CK2000

Here is what it looks like:

By the way, do you know if my '77 locks are cable driven? I havn;t looked yet.

THanks for the other great source Matt,
-Louis
