Hey there Vette Fans |wavey|

I recently read a thread about lubricating the speedo cable to cure a floating needle. Is there a trick to getting at the guage end of the cable - through the dash |headscratch| from under the dash |headscratch| couldn't get near it |headscratch|

Thanks as usual.

yeah the trick is have very small hands..

i was albe to do this by removing the center console and passenger dash.. then reach behind and unhook..

it would be easier to reach though if you removed the dash pad...

if you lube the cable properly from below (read very generously) it should make it all the way up the cable..

Hank,I took and old speedometer gear from a turbo 350 trans, the part that the speedo cable screws to.Take the gear off,you might have to drill the center, then tap it for a grease fitting.Works great for tach cables too.Best of all did'nt cost 19.95.
