New wiring harness? Why? Is the harness for an auto or standard car?
Anyway, you can jumper the harness, if it comes down to it. You can also do the same for the reverse lights, if the mood hits you.

don't know fer sur but when i switched my 69 from auto to manual i found it already had the correct wiring and plug for the standard already in place so i used it and let the connector under the console stay as well.

Thanks Howard! I thought the harness would have the plug for the clutch switch regardless, but wasn't sure...

the car is a total teardown all the way to the birdcage...there were many issues with the original harness....it is originally a 350/auto car...my plan was to go 454/auto but i am now leaning towards 454/4-speed....other than the obvious:linkage, pedals, frame tab,z-bar,etc....i'm trying to see what electrical issues i'll have from changing it over....i called lectric limited tech support and they said there is a connector already on the new harness for the neutral safety switch off of the clutch pedal....but the main difference between an auto harness and an manual harness is the tcs connections...there are different places where the tcs connections are made on each and he was saying each has different relays also....the main thing to figure out now is if tcs is really a nessessity....
