Hi all,

Was in the process of changing out my Tach card and when I pulled dash apart I found these wires (the yellow, green and tan not hooked up to anything)and was wondering if anyone could advise what they are for, I find it hard to believe that they should be just hanging out like that. I have been studying what manual I have and so far no luck. This is a 1979 L-82 4spd with no cruise control installed. Thank you.

A pic of the connector there would help, but it appears that those wires/connector are for the high beam switch....

Looks like the single yaller wire has pulled out of the connector....a view of the connector would confirm/refute that....

Thank you, thank you all...
It was the Hi/Lo switch connector but how the wires got up there I guess I will never know, but was able to connect yellow back into plug and it's staying put.
Now to put all the dash together and see if all the gauges work, ie Tach and fuel qty that I have been working on.
Thank you all again.

I have no idea, but this car had sat for over 18 years when I found it, so it has been a passion to get it back on the road as it only has 18500 miles on it. Right now trying to figure out what the previous owner was smoking reference radio wires... total mess.
I will try and see if anyone has info on radio/antenna wire issues here.
Again you guys are great.

If you need a wiring diagram for the car, you can now download/copy/print one from my web-page HERE
Unfortunately, the diagrams do NOT have anything on the radio, other than the fuse....
