My 81 needs some help. When fixing these things I know you should go from the cheapest up. I know the Oil pressure guage is one, I'm not with the car right know and can't remember what others needs work. The op guage is the one that I want to start with. Ive got the assy manual, shop manual and a chiltten (sp) I know nothing about eletronics except the part where you plug it into the wall!!! Thanks, and It's been awhile since I've been here. I've missed all of you and I'll be back as a regular. I've pretty much healed up the the crash. My memory is getting better so that is a HUGE releife. The doc says I will gain all of it back in time. It's like my hard drive crashed
Anyway you all have a good Thanksgiving, I don't remeber last years but have been told that it was a good one!!!

Mike, I'm glad to see that you're on the road back to recovery........that must of been a bad accident. Have a great Thanksgiving and I'm greatful that you're still around. The oil pressure sending unit line could be restricted. It's mounted on the engine block or check the electric connection at the sending unit. It's basically a starting point.

OP gauge is full electric on yer '81, so it could have several different issues. What does it do/not do?
The most common failure is the sending unit itself, which is a fairly easy swap...
Glad to see ya back in da saddle, too!
I hope you just keep improving.

Thanks guys. That is really nice of you. I had to take and early leave from Gulfstream. So I've got my pention comming in and then I went and got another job in aviation. Now I'm working for Savannah Air Center. We work on Gulfstream's and Bombardia, Globel express, also the Globel xrs, Challenger, lear. I now get to work on different birds. I'm back as good as I'm going to get. I'd say 98 %. It's not noticable. Thanks for the info on the OP. I figured that I was going to start with the sending unit. Does anybody know where on the engine the unit is on. Heck it might not even be hooked up for all I know.
