I seem to have some electrical demons in my wiring.
Since the gathering, Ive lost my clock, my radio, my interior lights, and under hood light.
I havent dug into the Assmebely Manual yet, but are all these items on the same circut and maybe its just a blown fuse???
A little more background.... a few days after returning from the gathering, my battery was low, not dead, but not strong enough to turn it over. When I tried to crank it the tach pegged out and stayed there. I put the battery tender on it and the next day it started up and the tach went back to working normally.
I didnt notice if the clock was or wasnt working just before I cranked it the day before, but its not working at all. Its a rebuilt quartz and was working fine until this sitaution.
Hopefully its just as simple as a fuse that maybe blew when I cranked it on a low battery....but any input is appreciated.

Prolly is a fuse-link...that's the first thing to check. The underhood light gets power right off the alternator. The other things that are dead are protected by fuses in the fuse box, but those fuses get power from red wires from the starter/battery, and those wires have fuse-links in them. The wire from the alt also has a fuse-link that powers several items in the fuse box. I think I would start by checking the wiring from the alt fuse-link....that seems to be the common item between everything else that is not operating...

Ive blown a fusable link before and it rendered the car inoperable ( i believe it was the one to the starter.....wouldnt that be the case here too?? Car still runs.
Thanks for the input Joel...I may need to put you on speed dial with all the electrical and vacuum questions I'm gonna have........

Depends on WHICH fuse-link is blown. They don't ALL power the entire car.

It was a 15 amp courtesy lamp fuse that was blown....
However Joel from previous posts I see you were offering up copies of the wiring diagrams....Is that offer still good?

No....
Just kiddin!
Ben(cthulhu) graciously offered to host the diagrams on his site, so you can usually d'load the diagrams from there. Last time I looked(earlier this week), the site wasn't working("server not found"). As of this morning, the server is still lost, apparently. I can e-mail ya the diagram for the '79, tho....
