I'm trying to find the GM part numbers for the pulse wipers in the 78/79 models. I have the dash switch, but I'm looking for the part numbers of the control panal, found behind the radio, and the power module found in the console. Does anyone have this information? I tried all the vendors at Carlisle for NOS parts and found none. I tried some of the used part vendors but I need the part numbers to insure I get the right parts. Does anyone know of anybody or company that fixes this parts? How about some way to test them before buying to insure that they will work?

The controller assm. for the pulse wipers on my '81 fryied on me a while back. All of a sudden the wipers just started going on by themselfs and then I smelled somthing burning. It was the controller, it almost started a fire. Scared the sh#$ out of me ! Anyways, the only thing I could find was a "by-pass" harness (from Electric Limited inc.)that pluged into where the controler plugs in and eliminates it. From what found out, the controler is no longer available and I haven't found any replacement .... Hope thats some help !deeboy59 2007-08-31 18:10:55
Glad you are alright, no fire. Did you remove the control module? Do you have the part number? I know that there is no NOS or replacement available but in order to find one used from a junk yard you need the part number since there are several like looking modules in a corvette.
LeRoy, the GM part # for the pulse controler is; 14016250. Thats the # for the controller on the '81, but I think there the same ..... but dont hold me to it .... hope that helps
ps. I've seen them on ebay before , but they are used

If I recall from some past threads LeeW78 is wanting to ADD pulse wipers to a non equipted Vette. The controller/module is GM part number 470318 for 78 but they are no longer made. As mentioned, used is the only way to find one. Your best bet would be to find a donor Vette so equipted and get everything including the wiring harness and then hope it still works!
