Hey every one its me again been busy last few weeks army stuff. We finially got to work more on 75. Bumpers on not to bad a job (fit better than that 78 we saw in AR with 17 miles on it). Well on to it I was reconnecting the tail lights and did know Tru-Flex bumper require little more wire to mount the sockets in the light. D***A## old me just gives it a little jerk and all of a sudden wires pull ou of the BAND NEW rear wiring harness
. So resolution get a new pig tail from CC. Comes in mail KOOL rewire GREAT
. TEST? No good
light not working right acts like its brake light is on when trun on headlights. Blinkers will not work or too dim. Followed wiring dagram color to color. Still NO GO
any Ideas guys and ladies? Could it be the turn signial relay? Or am I losing my touch (which still trying to get) Thanks anyhelp will be appreciated.

sounds kinda like a ground problem... has been forever and a day since i've been under the rear to change a bulb, but, is the bulb holder a 2 wire or 3 wire set up?(3 wire, one will be a ground, otherwise the holder grounds itself to the frame... if there is a frame there to ground... you know, i got a wire diagram from Joel somewhere around here, guess i should consult it)... in anycase, it does sound like its not making a good ground....

I third that motion...sounds like a ground ain't grounding. Try grounding the metal part of the socket directly with a jumper wire, and see if that "fixes" it. If so, then you might need to either run a new ground wire to the socket, or trace the ground wire(black wire) from the socket back to the ground point on the frame. The rear light harness ground point is normally to the driver side of center, on the rear crossmember. It may also be on the driver side frame close to the bumper brackets.

Well tried the ground wire thing NO GO. But found out the blub does not seat well in the socket just not making contact right. Got Blub from auto parts store still will not seat. Going to order one from a Corvette parts supplier see if that works, Thanks everyone for the help.

Update FIXED. Thanks for all your help everyone but guess what? I'm such a DUMM A#$
I had the blub in the socket wrong. You think you know stuff sometimes and then BOOM works fine now Bumper complete and all lights work. Thanks again.
