does anyone know how long the plug wires need to be on a 1969 with a 350 ? i don't want to run the wire on top of the engine -- i want to run the down the back of the engine -along the oil pan and up to the plugs.

Long enough to reach from the distributor to the plugs?
(sorry...I couldn't help myself...that was too easy!!
)
I had a chart when I got my new wires from 'Lectric Limited a few years ago, and it specified which length wire went where, and how to route them so there was no extra hanging anywhere. I doubt I could find it now, but I'll sure look when I git home this eve.

Howard,
I have put 2 sets on my car so far & both have been through the ignition shielding that runs down the sides & under the heads to the plugs.
One was the 8mm Super Stocks from Accel & the one on now is a 7mm set from Pertronix. I got the Pertronix set from Corvette Central, and I'm sure that any major parts house sells Delco sets long enough to route them the way you want.

You can also buy a roll(bulk) of wire, and terminals to make your own. Then sell off what you don't use...
