Vette(s): 1982 Black over red, doing a resto.

I was trying to repair my power door locks and found out Mr. Fudge-it was in there first!

The connector to the drivers door lock switch is blowen apart, does anybody know what wire goes where? The black and orange wire is still on the connector, looking at the back, the black is on the left top, then on the right top is the orange wire. Is the next one down gray then blue below that? Is the tan one below the black one?

Sure could use the help on this one, thanks guys!

Denny

I bought the door lock switch connectors from Doc. Rebuild, the color code is right on the pass. side, not on the drivers side. That's why I need help with this. The manual doesn't show the connector as the wires are attached to it.

Does anybody have a door panel off?

Denny

Got it working again. Black on left, tan below, orange on right, gray below, and light blue under the gray, looking at the back side of the connector.

Hope this helps someone down the road later on.

Denny

Quite possibly a Moderator might want to take this information and post it in the Tips and Tricks section of the site, or the Member Projects?

That way no one has to keep separate files, and the information gathered by xfire is readily available to all who need it, whenever.

Just a suggestion!

Better yet, xfire would you want to put together a artical on the subject of your door locks and how you fixed them? Contact Adam and ask to have it entered in the next SHARK BITES. The member ship would enjoy the read. gellisvette38750.6396296296
