I have a 1975 coupe and I am in the process of replacing the center gauges with Auto Meter gauges. My question is can someone help me with what color wire is for what for each gauge as in ground or hot etc? I have the CD for the wiring diagrams 1953 - 1982. I went and looked for each gauge and got the following so far.
Ammeter gauge
Black
black/white
Fuel gauge
Tan
Pink
Water temp gauge + sender
Pink
Black
Dark Green
Oil Pressure gauge + sender
Dark Blue
Pink
Clock
Dont have them it never worked but bought a new gauge.
I am also putting a new DIN stereo and bezel in, will look awsome when done. Thanks for all your help I have used this forum many times and the people are AWSOMe.
Thanks again, ACE

I can check and verify with the wiring diagram, but just looking at what you have so far,
Ammeter Blk=grnd Blk/Wt = pos
Fuel Tan= grnd(actually, the tan wire will be the one coming from the tank sender unit, which is basically a ground thru a resistor) Pink = pos
Temp gauge Pnk = pos blk = grnd grn is from sender unit
Oil press Pnk = pos blu = grnd(from sender unit)
Not a clue on the clock...I'll have to check the diagrams...
