Hey Everyone Need a little guidance or help here. I have pulled my engine harness and AC harness to refurbish them. A couple of the Harness connectors need to be replaced where they have contacted a header and have some burned marks on them.

I know there are tons of places out there to get a new harness, but where are they getting the connectors to reproduce them? I would like to simply buy the connectors and pins that I need and restore/fix the harness I have rather then spend the $150+ for a complete new one. Has anyone every purchased just the connector ends from one of the harness manufacturers or is there a source out there for buying these?

I've tried searching the internet with no avail.

Help!! |withstupid|

You can usually get the terminals for GM dealers. They often get theirs from Curtis Ind, in Cleveland. You local dealer may have other suppliers.

|withstupid| I wouldn't even though of that. I will give that a shot and see what Happens. If anyone else has any thoughts, throw them out there. I would think there are other C3 owners in the same boat.

You might also try some parts stores like NAPA. They have electrical catalogs with pictures or drawings of connectors they can get. You might find what you want that way if dealers can't help.

Many of the connectors used on our Vettes are the same as other GM models of the same vintage. You could possibly get the connectors you need at a salvage yard with wires already attached and then splice them in back in the covered part of the harness where it won't show.

You can get the terminals from your better parts stores (NAPA, CarQuest, etc.) It is called a type 56 terminal because they were "invented" in 1956. The plastic ends are found in many GM cars from the mid 50s through the mid 80's and are still used by the heavy truck industry if you have access to any big truck junkyards.
