Hey Folks!
(NOTE: I posted this under another topic as well, but saw this one and thought you guys could help me too!)
I have good news
and bad news
regarding the battery drain that was occurring on my '82.

The good news is...thanks to RRaider1 and his link to track down battery drains, I was able to trace my problem to the "Pwr Accy" Circuit Breaker. With the circuit breaker inserted, it was pulling 6-7 amps (no wonder the battery was dying overnight, huh?). Removing the circuit breaker, the drain was less than 1 amp. Woo Hoo!

The bad news is...I have no clue what to do now!
I went and purchased a replacement for the 30 Amp circuit breaker hoping that would do the trick. No go. New circuit breaker in...6-7 amp drain...out, 1 amp drain.

Researching this circuit breaker in my manuals, etc., it seems to be connected to the Power Seats, but I'm not sure.
Before I screw something up, I knew I needed to consult my C3VR's for the help I need.
HELP! What do I do now!
Thanks!

JSGardner, look at your other post.
While I agree, a constant draw is common and the cutoff is a very good idea, the cars should not do this.
Mine can sit for a month and a half, and still start on it's own. I elimitated the draw. (mine was interior light, and the only one in the car right now is in the rear)
Hi:
I was having the same problem with my 1968 and it turned out to be the over-ride switch for the windshield wipers. If you look in your owners manual if you have on it warns about this problem, maybe this might help.

I am rite there with you Ken. I had the problem and found the wring from the door switches to be the culprits. No matter how hard I tried to keep them lubricated invariably at some undesirable point they would stick on and leave me in the dark (literally).
After a couple go a rounds with them I decided to run new wiring and the problem was cured. The old wiring was cracked pretty bad and had finally given up the ghost over time. I would still like to replace the door sensors from something more to date but haven't had a chance to walk through the candy store (salvage yard) to find a likely donor yet. Maybe it will stop raining here one day and I can get r done.....Tuxblacray 2008-07-03 13:10:55
