I removed my guage cluster to replace my radio and now my tach is stuck at 1500 rpm and none of my guages work. The clock didn't work and the fuel guage was screwy but the Tach, Oil, AMP, and Temp were fine. The Oil guage moves when engine is started but pegs and stays there. I don't see any movement of AMP and temp guage. It's not hard to believe they went south all at once, but odd. Do any one have any suggestions? I would like to test all guages individually if I can find the procedures. Thanks

I had a similar problem in my '78 last year after pulling the guage cluster...blown fuse. Simple fix for me, but I think you have a distributor driven tach, so something may have happened to the cable. You may have accidently done something to the flimsy printed circuit behind the gauges...a break in the wrong place on that and everything after the break no longer works.
It does sound like a power or ground problem. IF the fuse doesn't do it, find the common power and ground for the gauges. One of them is likely loose for lost contact.
