Vette(s): 1971 T-top, 350, auto, average condition mechanically. Needs paint.
Hello everyone! I have recently had Redline Gauges rebuild my tach in my '71 to electronic. I have also switch my ignition system over to the MSD with the 6al box. I cannot figure out how to hook up the electronic tach to the MSD system to make it work. Any help would be appreciated! The tach has 3 wires coming from it now. Thanks!

The three wires are ignition power, ground, and tach signal from the ignition. The MSD should have a tach connection for the last wire.

Thanks for you reply. One last question....since my Vette didn't originally come with an electronic tach, what do I do with the ignition power wire? Thanks again, kster!

Insert the ign power wire either into the fusebox on a "hot in run" position, or connect it to the wire going to the MSD box to power it up with the key on. If you have the MSD directions, is should say. If not, I think Dwain(longhorn294) has the instructions.
