Hey guys,

I just read the '82 tail light conversion thread. I knre basically to use an electriacl beenis (crimp as you guys call em) and heat shrink wrap. I have plenty of each from workin on computers, and my dad used to be a cable installer. Anyways gettin down to the nitty gritty....

When I go to pamona fianlly on March 5th, I plan on getting a '80's style bumper. With the new tail light cut outs as you all know is going to require that bubbled lense crap. I plan to find real 80's style lamps. How can I make sure that I ahve the white reverse light? In Nevada its a big no no on that one, in Vegas cars have to pass an imense amount of tests at the DMV. So, what does everyone think? How can I do this?

Thanks guys,
-Louis

The only thing that I came up with ,is maybe find a license plate bracket that has back up lights on it,you know some cars have the back up lights on the left side and right side of the license plate, that might work for ya

Louis, splain to me about what you have to do in Vegas at the DMV. I know you guys in Clark and Washoe (Reno) have to pass a smog test, but what else do you have to do? One of my hot rods had no back up lites on it and I never had a problem with the cops.

Hey Dave,

They make sure that a CAT is visible in time of expection of title. THe VIN number matches ttitle etc..

When the regisration comes, you have to prove the headlights work, tail lights function, all blinkers funtion, reverse lights exist, and operate fully. DOens;t amtter if they are original location or not, just as long as they are there. The car passes a smog, VIN still matches. After that you're good to go.
