Got a CD player from santa. I've had the dash apart and have been in the process of removing the old POS deck that was so lovingly installed many moons ago. I've come across a light blue wire that is in the harness that has a diode in line with it. It doesn't look stock, as much of the wiring back there. Any way of getting the diagram for it? Thanks, Ric.

I can send ya a diagram of the original wiring, but if what you are looking at(blue wire) is not factory, it wouldn't identify that wire....I'll go ahead an e-mail ya the diagram...

Lamp I think one of the front speaker wires on my 79 is light blue. Dunno about the diode though....

The diode indicates the wire powers some sort of relay...possibly a power amp, or antennae...
Are you sure it's a diode, and not a capacitor, or resistor?

I seem to remember the light blue wire on my past 2 headunits powering the amp on/off or power antenna up/down. It was a power trigger wire. When it was putting out voltage the headunit was playing music, and when it wasn't putting out voltage the headunit was off/not playing music. That was my situation, but yeah I guess your mileage may vary.
