Vette(s): 1976 chevy corvette stingray
I recently purchased a 1976 stingray and I'm curious if anyone else have had a problem with their turn signals.  When I use the turn signals they stay lit and do not blink.  I've checked all the light bulbs and they are ok.  The one oddball thing I noticed is the front right signal does not light up when I'm trying to use my turn signals.  All my parking lamps work.  Hopefully someone will be able to shed some light on my problem.  Thanks

I assume you have replaced a burnt out bulb??  Chek to be sure all bulbs are grounded.  If one is not, several others may not work properly.  I went thru the same thing with my 81 however some of my problem was not useing USA made bulbs!!  I was surprised but my vet only likes USA made bulbs!!!

Paul...don't confuse us with those high-tech terms!
I assume you mean the turn signal flasher, which is what I would suggest checking first, since NONE of the lights blink with the turn signals on.
The right front bulb is prolly bad, but that doesn't explain why the left signal doesn't work, so....I would suggest replacing the right front bulb, AND the flasher, and that should solve the problem.
The turn sig flasher on the '76 should be on the passenger side, just behind the panel with the map pocket. You can usually feel around under there and locate it.
If it doesn't, then the next most likely issue would be the grounding of the bulb fixtures at the front and rear.

I thought you meant the thingamajiggy....but don't call me Bob...

The flasher will most likely not be the metal, silver can type, unless it has been replaced already. Most of the later cars had a plastic flasher, and it may be yellow, white, blue...you name it.
