My turn signals just stop working.  When I first start the car and take off the turn signals work.  Then after a little while I go to use the turn signal and no blinking signal just a steady turn light (no blinking).  I checked all the lights and all come on as they are supposed to, except the turn signals don't blink.
I suspect the flasher but would like some experienced opinions and suggestions.
thanks for any help.

I'd suspect the flasher, too.

You might want to try your emergency flashers. If they work steady than I would replace flasher. Easy fix.

My 78 did the same thing-- ended up replacing the bulb holders to fix the problem ( the springs that pushed the connector contact to the bulbs was not doing its job, seems the heat stops it from working until it cooled down)

Make sure you battery/charging system voltage is staying up where it belongs.   Low voltage will cause this as well.   But it probably is the flasher as long as all of the light come on properly.

Flashers, when working properly, operate based on the amount of amperage going through them.   Too little they don't blink.  Too much the blink off very quickly.

Newer electronic flashers work just the opposite except they don't stop with high lods, just blink very fast with low amps.

Low amps is usually a bad bulb or poor connection.

I thought I would try replacing the flasher first and see if that fixes the problem.
I have an assembly manual and it looks like the flasher is located behind the glove compartment and you have to remove the "box" to get to it.
Is this right or can you get to it from underneath?
thanks for the help

I believe you can get it just reaching up under the gbox, about the center of it, but it may be to one side.
