Hi,
The bulb burned out on the front forward facing turn signal (parking lights). I pulled the socket out to replace the bulb and the bulb had broken off the metal end. Using pliers and trying to be oh so careful I ended up cracking the parking light socket anyway. Now I need to solder in a new socket, but I would rather work on my workbench and not upside down under the car. Does anyone know where the connector for the turn signal socket (if there is one) and how the connector works (e.g, pull hard, twist, etc.).
Thanks,
Larry

The socket only has about 8 to 10 inches of wire attached to it before you come to a connection. Just lay on your back and you should be able to just reach up and undo it. If you can't repair it, you can buy replacements pretty reasonably priced.
I'm gun shy now. I see the connection, but I can't tell if I just pull them apart or they twist. Can you tell me now the connection works so I don't brake the connection while trying to get them apart? Thanks.
You just pull it apart. It has a rubber surround thing on it to keep it dry...but it just pulls apart. If you need a new one, try larry at Corvette Specialties. He's one of our sponsors and you can just call him on the phone and he'll also answer any questions you might have also.
