Vette(s): 77 coupe, yellow, auto, L series, A/C, T top, Grey leather interior. It is about 75% & matching #'s. The miles are 117K & intend on restoring bit by bit to enjoy Cruises & rallies in Florida , & maybe some shows ?
Can anyone tell me what this part is called behind the light switch, under the dash, stationed up next to the main harness ? It looks like a tall flasher, has 3 prongs on the bottom, & a ground wire coming out of the bottom which fastens to the metal wall above the kick pad. I can't put a picture on the site. I know it does not work, because it jingles when I shake it. So any help would be appreciated.

Someone posted the same thing a couple of years ago, and wondered what it was, too. They did have a pic, and it IS a flasher. I can't find the pic, and I haven't searched for the thread, nor do I remember what we finally determined it was for.
What year car is it?

Thanks for the pic & reply. This nails it on the head, cuz the interior lights only come on & off with no delay or fading. And the picture is exactly the way it is in the car. Now to find one if they R still available. Enjoy the ride.

Corvette Central sells them. Just use the word "timer" in the search under C3.
