One or both? If one switch fails, the other won't work. Take your door panel off and make sure that the plug is connected tightly in the rear of the switch. The fuse controls other things so I doubt that is it but check it anyway.

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
When I first got my 79, my door locks didn't work either. I fixed mine by using the button, and working it in and out, and I also squirted some WD-40 into the electric motors in the door panels. After a while the door locks started working. It took a lot of working of the electric switches. Both work constantly, now.
Do yours make any noise when you push the electric switch. If they do, just work with them, and they may start working..

Thanks for the tips. I've got her in the shop right now for pads rotors plugs and wires. As soon as I can get time off work to get over there I'll check for a noise.
