Did that after seeing a picture like that online, but no luck. I think that may be 77 and up

To my knowledge, there are only 2 "buzzers" on the '74. The "Key in ignition", and "Seat Belt Warning". If the seat belt buzzer is buzzing, the "Fasten Seat Belts" light WILL be on. That buzzer is located under the dash on the driver side. It looses power with the key off. It also stops buzzing with the parking brake on.  The "Key in Ign." buzzer is located between the tach and speedo, behind the cluster, and it is always powered, key in/key out. My bet is it is the key in buzzer going off. It should, however, go off with the door(s) shut. The contacts for the key in buzzer are in the steering column, and require steering wheel removal to get to.

The issue was apparently the key in buzzer as I found it in the upper dash between tach and speedo. It didn't stop with doors closed. So I simply removed it and I've been good now for some time. Thanks for the help folks!

Almost 5 years...!!!

Had a similar intermittent issue in "The Toy".  But the buzz only happened after removing the key.  Wiggling the ignition switch would stop the buzzing so was guessing that was the culprit.  It wasn't a big enough problem to me and it went with the car as a "bonus" for the new caretaker.
