How does vacuum solenoid work mounted on back of tach? MY WIPER DOOR DOESN'T OPEN i TRACED THE PROBLEM TO THIS SOLENOID. iT IS DISCONNECTED ON ONE END BUT IS TEE'D ON THE OTHER electrical connect is off. Looking for wire or is there two wires to connect, according to manual.

Don't know techo crap but this is a relativly new replacement part, not cheap, had to replace mine, think i got it from blairs but it does not go back on the tach if i remember right. There have been a few good threads on this site on that problem, had mine for about 2 years till i think i found a shop to take time to fix it right. good luck real headache at times. do a search for your answer grasshopper, it will be spelled out for you. i will try to look for reciet in morning.

Thanks for the response on the wiper door solenoid. The instructions you sent on the operation of the solenoil switch really helps. I found the electrical connection to the solenoid removed from the electrical pins shown in your diagram. The hard part is getting room for my hand back there to remove the solenoid from the car. The blue and white hoses have been Tee'd together, with the port on the white dot side left open. According to the diagram and instructions you sent, i can't see how it could have worked. Thanks again, I just might conquer this beast of a problem finally. I looked at the solenoid available and it only shows one electrical pin and not two as shown on the schematic drawing you sent me. Can you elaborate on that. Thanks, Jim
