Right! 73 was the first year with the long hood, didn't need an override to change the wiper blades, one day I spent over an hr. and a half trying to figure out why my wipers didn't work with a circuit tester..."they worked last time I turned them on?" turns out that I must have been foolin around under the dash one day and hit the override by mistake,..Duuh?!

Well..........ITS FIXED!!! Works like a dream.

Ken, I won't need the wiring diagrams. Thanks.

I am a bit embarrassed |blinkyeyes| to share the cause of my wiper problems; however, it could very well help someone else in the future.

Turns out I had installed the plug into the wiper switch 180 degrees out. ( In my defense, it looks like it should go this way). Well, I got to laugh|laugh|. In the process of "finding the problem" I now have a completely rebuilt wiper motor and new switch. A big thanks to everyone who offered up suggestions. Ken, your detailed explaination of how the wiper works really keyed me into the problem. Thanks again. |thumb| The upside to this "project" is I shouldn't have to mess with the wipers for a very long time.
