Well, I hope there are some self professed electrical guru's who can help me. I bought a 1970 vette...it had a currant MA sticker, but, the washer pump was missing, rather than spend the bucks on a correct pump, I thought I would just rig up an electric pump to get a sticker and worry about the pump later on (it wont go out on rainy days anyway). I wanted to chang the wiper blades (refils) so I ran the wipers until they were both accsessable and the pulled the ground cable off the Battery, it was loose anyway causing the wipers to move slowler than they do with the engine running, anyway I changed the blade refils and titghtened up the ground cable and the wipers do not work. I tightened up the yellow wire that is attached to the wiper case...and tested it for continuity to ground...that seams ok, The fuse looked good but I changed it anyway, The wiring is a bit fudged, but, they did work previuos to discontecting the battery ground so I am puzzled, I suppose the wiper motor could have been dying a slow death anyway but, I would like to "hot wire" it to test for sure and try to get things working again. If someone can help me out, I would appreciate it..and I would be happy to make a phone call back to you to chat and see if I can get this thing starightened out. Thanks in advance!! E.M.

This is more complicated then you realize. You have a vacume system on Vette's between '68 and '72 that opens a wiper cover door, that activates a mechanical switch when it is fully open that allows the wipers to work. The vacume runs to several places, one under the dash by the tach. It is a chore to diagnose and correct. You need awiring diagram to check your connections and don't forget to check the fuse.
