OK......back in July I pulled my leaking master cylinder & replaced it with a remanufactured Bendix unit.  Assuming the one that I pulled is original, I want to have it rebuilt.

The car has power brakes, but there in no "PG" stamp on the one I removed.  The car was built in late January 1968 - Car # 9736.

The M.C. that I pulled has a raised casting # on the engine side which is either 5460346 or 5480346 (hard to tell, even in my hand) with a stamped "7" just after the casting #.  On the fender side is a date plate which reads "251"

I'm assuming from the stamped 7 on the engine side combined with the date plate that this M.C. was made in August of 1967.  There are no external bleeders.

Can any of you guys (especially owners of NCRS cars) that know you have the "correct" M.C. please take a look @ yours and let me know:

A-   What your casting # is?

B-   What the correct casting number should be?

        C-    Are M.C.'s dated?

D- &nbs p;  Does your correct M.C. have external bleeders?

I want to make sure that I have an original unit before I send it out for a rebuild, since it looks like the 2 front calipers will be sent out also.

Thank you...................Anthony

I'll do some checking when I get home tonight, I still have my orig. M.C. It does have the external bleeders on it. I got a reman from the Zone and believe it or not, it had the correct casting# on it.
