Cosidering that Your Car is an 80' (like Mine) It was the First Year of the Dana 44 Aluminum Rear End. It Uses a Diffrent Spring Perch than the previous design and its been so long since I first Installed my original I can't remember if You need to replace the Clamping Plate that Holds it or Not. VB&P might send one with thre Spring and I have no know idea of how TRW dose it. Whenever You Order it be sure to Ask. As Most Springs Sold are for 63' to 79"s ,and 81'to 82's allready had the Composite Spring it Leaves the 80' in the Gray Area. Somebody Here must of run into this issue in the 20 Plus Years since I did Mine and they probably have better Memory. Richard.....

I've replaced my '81 and the '78. Both with the TRW style. Both came complete with all you need. Just be careful compressing each spring end to start the castle nuts.

Jimmy, Sorry it took so long to answer, I bought the set from Vette Brakes VBP, they run sales every now and then. The front is a fiberglass mono that can be ajusted very easy to firm up the ride or soften it up. The set is a bolt in, and it was the easiest thing I have done to the car...less than three hours to install. You can buy just the spring kit or the spring and lower A arms and last is upper and lower A arms. Unless your upper arms are bad dont waste the money, just get the lower A arms with the spring. A arms are powder coated and look really good.

I got the TRW 340# and love it. Our roads are the worst and this spring really helps smooth out the ride.

Thanks a lot guys! I really appreciate the feed back.
We too have really bad city roads so the TRW spring might just be the ticket. I'll make sure to ask about the plate.
