Hello Friends.  Not sure what I posted last but I finished installing the new differential yokes and all 6 ujoints (btw, what a pita! Replacing [removing] 42 year old ujoints)

Anyway….I suppose from the rear yoke pulling out of the differential case it put a lot of undue pressure on the trailing arms and all the shims fell out.  I since beat them back in with a hammer and drove the car on a short test drive.  Thanks to work being utterly insane, I haven’t been home to touch the car in weeks.

I scheduled an appointment with my local mechanic that I know and trust, he’s done these before and is equipped to do a four wheel alignment for me.  He has asked me to get the camber, caster and toe for both the front and rear – can someone please tell me what these should be based on stock settings for a 1968 convertible?

If you have thoughts on something that handles better I’d be willing to listen, but mostly would like the stock settings to begin with – thank you !!!!

Here are the specs from the factory service manual for '73. The 1970 are exactly the same, so I believe yours should also be the same.

Hi Larry, so your sure that my 68 is going to be the same as a 73?  If no one disagree's these are the numbers I will bring to my mechanic tomorrow.  Thanks !

I also looked a '70, and they were exactly the same.  Since they use the same chassis, I can't imagine why these specs wouldn't OK for your '68.

Greenwood, and Guldstrand had specs posted for Shark cars somewhere...I can't find them. They went for a little more caster in the front, and a little more camber in the rear....
The stock specs Larry posted will work fine on the earlier cars. The only real difference was the '73 started the use of radial tires, but I believe the alignment specs stayed the same.
