I have a small block with 'coker' red line tires (7500 total miles). The front two have started to separate inside causing a wobbly ride. Has anyone had better experience with tires from Coker?
This is a weekend driver, and I wouldn't suspect that they would defect this quickly.
I'm not sure if I should buy some good radials, and forgo originality?
Secondly, I currently have the optioned hub caps instead of the rally rims (also for the sake of originality). I am also contemplating on purchasing the rally's.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

go with the radial tires. It will handle much better. Tires are easy to change back if you ever want to show the car. i say go for the rally wheels also. i have seen some C3's with the hub caps and it dosen't look right. take the hub caps off store them in a warm dry spot in a couple of trash bags sealed up. its your stingray, enjoy it the way you want to. don't worry what everyone says . do what you need to do to enjoy it. also rims for 68's are different from 69 and up though i would think they would fit. i would suspect 68 rims would be more $$ as they are a i year size. any 68 owners please correct me if i am wrong on this.

Tire Separation: I never heard of this until recently, and both cases were in Florida. My son with his Chevy pickup with tires that were not that old and a guy with a 69 Camaro. Now I read of your experience and see you are in Texas. Does tire separation have to due with the excess hot weather? Here in the northeast, I have never heard of tire separation and I have run some tires right down to the cords.
Wheels: Although 68 wheels are a 1 year only, who would want those skinny 7" rims? Maybe one of those collectors who wants it the way it was delivered, but on eBay they just don't sell. Go with the 8" rims and a good set of radials, you'll be happy.
