There is a difference in where the lower shock mount goes thru the support. There is a "flat" for the shock mount to center on, so it will not rotate in the support. If you swap the supports from side-side, you won't be able to install the shocks.
The mount hole in the support is "D" shaped on the side to the rear, so swapping sides would put the "D" to the front...the shock mount would not work in that position.
Other than that, they are the same...

Thank you much! That really clarifies it. I just noticed above that I joined this group 2 yrs. ago,which means I have had the 77 since then.I brought the car home on labor day 06 from Atlanta.I am now putting back together.For two yrs. all I did was sand and clean,virtually every day.Were getting there.
