Vette(s): 1978 Silver Anniversary L82 4spd (M21) Red Leather. Pace Car is in the hands of a new caretaker.
Welcome to C3VR and congradulations on becoming a new Vette owner. I love them '78's.
I just PMed you with a page scanned out of a Chev service manual. If it's too small to read I can email it.
Looks like a fairly easy job. I'll be replacing my rear shocks along with a new composite leaf spring in the next few weeks.
Tell us about your car.

Rear shock replacement is really quite easy. Jack the rear up, and remove the tires. You'll need to place jack-stands under the trailing arm (as well as/in addition to under the frame) to support it while you remove the shocks. Then it's as simple as removing the nut on the bottom, and the nut/bolt on the top.
Good Luck, and Welcome to C3VR!
