My 76 had been pulling to the right really badly so I took it in. They set all four wheels to factory specs. Still pulled to the right. Swapped tires all around left right front back, still pulling.
So the guy recons its the power steering box and shows me how the steering wheel moves when tuning the car on and off.
He set the caster to the left about 3 degrees. Now it drives straight.
Is it a known issue with the steering boxes that can cause the steering to pull?

When installing a new valve, there is an adjustment procedure you must follow. It sounds like your just got a little out of adjustment. If you need the text of the adjustment instructions, let me know and I will scan one.

The steering valve adjustment procedure has been posted here several times...might try a "search" for other threads with the same topic.
Just be sure to NOT start the car with your hands thru the steering wheel while doing the adjustments...it can hurt ya really quick if the adjustment is off a bit.

I should have guessed there would already be instruction post here. And Joel is right about keeping your arm away from the steering wheel. I saw one whip back and forth violently one time. It could do real damage.

We went to a club function one day, and one of the members was late getting there. When he showed up, his hand was in a cast...."What did you DO??" I axed...yup...adjusting the valve, reached in thru the steering wheel to start the car...the rest is history!
It's also good to just disconnect the ram from the frame on the driver side...that way, the only thing that could be damaged is the ram itself...better than a trip to the ER...
