Vette(s): 1970 stingray, t-top, mulsanne blue with black interior, 406 ci with 444 hp, racing suspension, hooker headers/sidepipes - SOLD :(

okay so, I figure it's finally time to ask.  when I gave Noel her make-over, I swapped the suspension...

used that, the street and slalom kit from VB and P.

now the ride is as bouncy as a dang basketball...and I can't stand it.  is this something like rebound and damping, something that can be adjusted...or is it something else?

Sounds like you may have gotten some bad shocks, or some that are not correct for the application.

I agree... call the mfg up, 'splain the situation with the bouncy boy, and see what they suggest as the solution. It might be something they've run across before.

btw.... as long as the peices haven't been "modified/altered" in any way, there should be no prob. with return/exchange.Adams' Apple38731.7522685185

so I wrote Van Steel describing the problem and providing my invoice number...and the reply was...

Well would you like me to send you a softer spring? It sounds like you have to stiff of a spring. It's a 360# rear spring. I can send you a 330# or 360# spring.

I dunno if it's a stiff spring or a soft spring, since I know jack about suspension...so...what do you guys suggest I doooo?

Does the car just ride rough, or is it bouncing up & down all the time? If it's just a rough ride(like a dump truck), I'd go with a "softer" spring. If the thing is constantly bouncing around like a trampoline, then you may have a shock absorber issue..
It kinda sounds like you just got too stiff of a suspension kit for your liking.
