Here are the pics...

You can see how close the exhaust is to the spring in one of them...

BTW, notice the difference on the front end compared to my sig pic !! LOVE the new front springs...

Jim, after looking at the before and after pictures I don't think it looks that bad in the rear. The front is sitting very nice now and I believe with drastic difference from what you had in the front (appears going uphill) the rear will look to be somewhat higher. Also you more than likely have 60 series tires which have a lower profile and will have a larger gap, tire to fender. Give it some time and it may settle some. I would suggest rapping the exhaust with header tape where the pipes go under the spring. We have a couple of guys in the Sharks that do this and works fine.

Just my personal opinion Jim. I think it looks fine like that. Clap My 77 has the same type spring and it sits just a little higher than my 71 but nothing major. You can see in my pic.s the difference.  My 77 did settle down some after the spring change. My vote is leave it like that and give it some time.

I have my 71 in pieces now and who knows what it might look like when it goes back together LOL
There is a 40 x 40 garage being staked out here and it might actually get reassembled this fall in the new shop.

I put in a 315# TRW rear spring and it sat high (@31") on the stock bolts.  Put in 10" bolts and was able to adjust it down to 28 1/2" (stock).   After driving it for a few weeks, it started to settle down and had to readjust the bolts.  The ride is good, not too stiff or spongy.

I have taken out the 10" and put in 8" bolts as it settled that much.  Had no trouble with the 10" bolts rubbing on the tires or wheels, but glad to have them out.  Your car looks good to me in your pix, just see how it does after a few miles.

Also, you may need to see about the rear alignment after changing the spring.  I had to have mine adjusted.  Don't know if it was off before changing it or not, but it was afterwards.
