Does anyone know how to tell if your brake caliper is stainless steel sleeved????

Thanks

Unfortunately, the only way to tell is to pull the cal. off, take the pistons out, and look.
If the cals. have been sleeved, you will see the sleeve. It will be very shiny, compared to the rest of the caliper body. There will also be no rust in the bore. A non-sleeved bore will have rust/corrosion in it(and will most likely be leaking, anyway!).

Some reman places that sleeve the calipers will stamp them as such, but it's not a sure thing to look for.
My '74 has sleeved cals. in the front, but not in the back , and there are no markings on the sleeved ones.

Hope this description helps.
