I am considering buying slotted or drilled rotors. I heard that this will help minimize the brake fade. Has anyone replaced their stock rotors with slotted or drilled rotors and did it help?

It will help if you push the system that hard, but on street driving it's not likely. If you are having fade problems you may want to first consider using a different brake pad. Carbon Metallic are excellent for agressive street use. Ceramic are even better, but don't work quite as well when cold (brake temp, not air temp). Contaminated brake fluid will also cause fade. DOT can collect moisture and lower the boiling point of the fluid, causing fade from inside the calipers. Not a problem with silicone fluid unless you exceed it 's boiling point, again not likely on the street.
