Vette(s): I own a 1974 L48 white/red automatic, a 1976 daily driver L82 4 speed and a 1979 L48 automatic.
Hi every one,
I'm in the process of changing the frame on my 74 vette and would like to know what everybody thinks about the brake lines. Would you rather buy new ones or make your own?
I'm thinking of making my own on the problem of having to get them shipped without having them bent out of shape.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks

I bought stainless lines ready to go but I get my stuff local so they didn't have to bend them in half just to ship them. I don't think it would be to bad if they did as long as they weren't kinked.
I think only the one line if any would have to be. The rest are small enough.

Anything, but Stock and more mods to come!
SSBC Force 10 Brakes, 3.73, TH350, 355 CID, Rack and Pinion, Vette Brakes suspension front and rear.
My new stainless lines had a shipping bend in them and it was not an issue to straighten it out. Had no affect on performance or looks. Its not an agressive bend its more of a large arch.

As long as you have your old lines to use as a template then I would manufacture my own, or have it done locally. If you don't have the old lines then I probably would buy them prefabricated.
