Hi all got some questions for ya (I do this alot)
1 After driving for about an hour or so the rear brakes when I go to stop will sick. They dont stick hard but you can feel em. Once I give it some gas the "let go" though. Any ideas (bled the system, the pads are fine, no leaks in the sys)
2 the O-Ring Caliper Conversion kit. How much of a pain is that to install?
Thanx all

Got a 'maybe' for question #1. I had the flexible rubber line to the front right caliper (sp?) fail on me. I could apply pressure but it wouldn't release the pressure. Ended up cooking the rotor and pads when it locked up. If those rubber hoses have been on for a long time I'd suggest replacing them and rebleeding the system.

Ditto,
My '76 had the rear (driver side) wheel lock up and I thought I had a bad bearing. I took off the caliper and the wheel was fine. The caliper was new. I took off the hose (which looked okay from the outside) and sure enough it was blocked.
I'd bet on the hose.
Good luck,
Kevin

I agree with all... I had a front caliper lock up on me. The rubber brake line looked fine from the outside, but it would only let fluid travel one way. I have since replaced all four rubber lines.

agreed, the lines have often been known to cause this, otherwise i had the same experience only much worse, turned out to be the pushrod inside the master cylinder that was't releasing the fluid. Good luck.
